Fresh Fruit!
Don't bring home store-bought pops. Make your own adult version with
this simple fresh fruit puree recipe. Don't worry if you don't have a
fancy mold. We made them right in disposable plastic cups.
There is nothing more refreshing than an ice pop on a hot summer day. These fresh fruit and juice purees also pack a little punch. Just a splash of vodka is mixed in to make this childhood treat into an adult-approved treat.
Boozy fresh fruit puree pops recipe
Yields 4-6
Ingredients:
- 1 cup blueberry puree
- 2 tablespoons vodka
- 1-2 tablespoons superfine sugar (depending on desired sweetness level)
- 1 cup pineapple juice
- 4-6 wooden Popsicle sticks
Directions:
- Mix blueberry puree, vodka and sugar together. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
- In small paper cups (we like small Dixie cups) or a jumbo silicone ice cube mold, fill halfway with blueberry puree.
- Freeze for 1 or 2 hours until firm but not solid. Put sticks into the middle of the puree (they should stay in place) and let freeze until firm.
- Top off pops with pineapple juice and let freeze until firm.
